The 2006 GTOAA National event was held in Louisville, Kentucky at the Executive West Hotel. All the concours cars were brought inside the grand ballroom for all to see for two whole days! It was great to see those fine automobiles! Although many members attended, only five members (and their spouses) attended with their cars. All five won a trophy in their respective popular vote classes. That's awesome! Joe & Gretchen Barber won a first in the 66-67 convertible resto-modified class (nice car Joe!), Keith & Ellen Moore took 2nd place in stock 70-72 hardtops, Alan & Bonnie Fabritius took 3rd place in the resto-modified 68-69 hardtop class, Kirk & Cindy McFarland won a third place with their cool purple 2004 modified GTO, and Steve Busalacchi received an honorable mention in stock 66-67 hardtops. Additionally, our club won a silver in GTOAA member participation. Lastly, thanks to the Louisville Pontiac GTO Club for a fine job hosting the nationals! Next year it's back to Columbus, Ohio.
